Enhancing the flood response in Indonesia
Flooding is the single most common natural disaster in Southeast Asia as well as the disaster with the highest economic and humanitarian impact. In Southeast Asia, the damages from flooding amounts to $ 175 billion each year. If the traditional use of sandbags remain the applied solution to prevent flooding, this amount will only grow as the climate continues to change. Indonesia is one of the countries in Southeast Asia that is heavily affected by flooding. Over the past couple of years, Cold Flood Prevention has worked closely with local disaster management agencies to test and develop a solution that fits with the local conditions in Southeast Asia. This has resulted in a highly effective flood prevention product that is much more effective than sandbags. Furthermore, the Cold Flood Prevention solution is easy to handle and quick to set up and remove. We are currently working on expanding the the use of our system across Indonesia to prevent the devastating impact of flooding.
